Bitez, “the friendly beach of Bodrum”, remains a small village with a long beautiful seashore where people know each other. A favourite spot for both locals and tourists!
The sandy beach with shallow water makes the sea easy accessible and inviting for all ages. Incoming boats and windsurfers are safely zoned away from swimmers and no cars allowed.
Wind surf equipment may be hired from one of the surf schools on the beach. Other sports like dinghy sailing, water skiing, parasailing and diving are also available. A daily boat trip is traditional and a “must” for those of you who wish to experience the beautiful coast and swim in the blue crystal clear sea. There are some great walks and stunning scenery if you take a drive around the peninsula.
Bodrum-once the ancient town Halikarnassos- is easily reached by “dolmuş”, the local minibus. The busy town is dominated by its massive Crusader castle, now the famous Underwater Archeology Museum well worth visiting. You have a big choice of shops, bars, restaurants and famous night life. Don't miss to visit the beautiful and busy Marina district !
